Vintages

    2024

This year was challenging on all fronts; with high disease pressure early in the season and a hailstorm in July that reduced more than half of the harvest quantity. The season was rainy, leading to later harvests and more heterogeneous quality.
But the cool harvest conditions helped save the remaining grapes. We started on September 11 with, as usual, a superb team of harvesters. Despite the cold, rain, and difficult sorting of the grapes, they once again rose to the physical challenge of these ten days with flying colors.
The 2024 vintage promises fresh wines with low alcohol levels... We can’t wait to work with it and discover it at its best.

    2023

A vintage with higher quantities. The wines are lighter and less rich than 2022. The grapes took longer to ripen due to water stress caused by the August heatwave. We had high alcohol levels. The wines are crunchy, lively, and exhibit that beautiful “Beaujolais Gamay” character full of fruit.

    2022

Following the pattern of 2020 with good acidity while having more power than the 2020 vintage. Good structure, dense, with easy extraction. However, 2022 is less elegant than 2020.

    2021

A challenging year. We experienced 70% hail damage across the entire estate. With all the rain accumulated throughout the year, we have a lively and harsh vintage in terms of sanitary conditions (disease, poor grape quality), and very low yield.

Given all these complications, the estate decided not to bottle this vintage.

    2020

A very beautiful vintage. Plenty of sunshine, bringing rich wines with great elegance and fine characteristics.

    2019

Complicated vintage in terms of weather, with a very dry summer followed by storms in August. Low yield and a tendency for grey rot to return. Very heterogeneous ripeness. However, a return to some freshness and good acidity with moderate alcohol levels. Airy wine with crunchy fruit.

    2018

A vintage that combines quality and quantity, with near-ideal weather conditions. Low acidity, charming and expressive fruit, and intoxicating ripe fruit aromas captivate at first nose. We find the qualities of 2016 and 2017.

    2017

Hot and dry year, low yield. Hail in Fleurie. High concentration and lower acidity than in 2016. Rather charming wines.

    2016

Freshness, lots of fruit and structure. A very typical year for Gamay. Heterogeneous.
